A non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation which promotes and safeguards the independence and well being of senior citizens of Ontonagon County.
A board of five local residents representing seniors, and county board members, lead the corporation.
Our purpose is to provide senior citizens with the help necessary to enable them to remain in their homes for as long as possible. Our dedicated staff helps assist seniors with their independence.
Our services we provide to the senior citizens include: homemaking, home care assistance (personal care), respite care, two adult day centers, medical escort service, loan closet, and referral/information.
Cost ~ There is no fee for our services. Donations are accepted and allow us to continue our services. Our funding is through State/Federal grants and our county millage which are used solely for providing services. We contract with the Veterans Administration to provide in-home services for eligible veterans.
Any Ontonagon County resident over the age of 60 may be eligible for our services. Priority is given to those with the greatest economic and social needs.
